The rain can't stop yoga on the Greenway

GRAND FORKS (WDAZ-TV) -- Some practiced sun salutations in the rain as part of a free outdoor yoga class in Grand Forks.

About a dozen people got in their warrior positions on the Greenway all while watching rain drops fall into the Red River.

Classes this summer will take place close to the flood monument in order to help students be mindful of the work done to save the Grand Cities after the flood of '97.

The class is offered every other Saturday morning, rain or shine, and is designed to help get people in touch with nature while they work out.

“It's the beauty of nature and this specific spot in general, the obelisk, we're standing in a part of history in Grand Forks,” Said Marissa Mehelich, a yoga teacher.
