It was a scary situation in Harwood this morning as police set up a perimeter and issued a code red for a neighborhood, asking residents to stay inside their homes.
Authorities responded to a call shortly after 1:00 a.m. this morning to 9211 56th Ave. N. in Harwood near the Maple Sheyenne Lutheran Church for threats made by 57-year-old Steven Sorenson of Harwood.
Sorenson initially wanted to speak with law enforcement about an incident that happened at a West Fargo bar earlier in the morning.
Around 1:30 a.m. deputies on scene reported hearing 6 to 7 gunshots fired in an unknown direction.
About 10 minutes later, law enforcement heard more shots fired.
Just before 4:45 a.m., Sorenson was arrested and taken to the Cass County Jail.
He's facing felony charges of reckless endangerment and terrorizing.
No one was injured in the incident and the code red has been lifted.
SHOOTING IN MENAHGA
Family of a Menahga man is grieving, as they believe he's involved in a murder-suicide.
Police say two men were found dead in this home off of Oak Avenue Northeast in Menahga.
Authorities say they were called to the scene just after midnight yesterday morning.
The BCA spent over 5-hours collecting evidence on site.
Family of 82 -year-old Carl Albin say he and longtime partner Olga Wilkowski lived together in the home until she died a week ago.
Police say an exact timeline of when the two men died from apparent gunshot wounds will remain unknown until after an autopsy report.
Authorities have not confirmed who has died in the shooting - or which man took his own life.
CASS LAKE SHOOTING
A 24-year-old man is awaiting formal charges after being arrested in connection to a shooting death in Cass Lake.
He's 24-year-old Brandon Roy.
On Sunday, a 25-year-old woman died in her home in Cass Lake.
She's not yet been identified.
The sheriff's office got the call and responded to her home.
She was found with a gunshot wound to the head and efforts to revive her were unsuccessful.
