Moorhead woman recruits high school musicians for Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade

MOORHEAD—More than 200 students from across the country are packing their trumpets and trombones for the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade and Stephanie Beyah of Moorhead will be there.

She works for the company, Music Festivals and Tours, which helps recruit, select and guide the high school musicians from around the country, who are part of the prestigious "Macy's Great American Marching Band. "

The students rehearse for a week before marching in the parade on Thanksgiving morning.

"It is exciting, the week goes by so fast, there is little sleep, once we get there Saturday, it is go go go and from when we wake up Wednesday morning it runs into Thursday because our practice is 3:40 in the morning," said Stephanie Beyah.

10,000 people take part in the annual parade, now in its 91st year.
