Mourners of NDSCS student found dead asked to wear purple in honor of suicide awareness
WAHPETON, N.D. — The family of Nathan Gossett, an 18-year-old student who died at the North Dakota State College of Science, has asked mourners at a visitation service Friday, Dec. 15, to wear purple in honor of suicide awareness.
NDSCS Student Life posted the request on its Facebook page Wednesday afternoon. The visitation service will be from 2 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Vertin and Sons Funeral Home, 303 5th St. N., Breckenridge, Minn.
Gossett, from Enderlin, N.D., was found dead in his dormitory room on the NDSCS campus on Monday. Counseling services are available for students.
Friends of Gossett held a memorial ride in his honor Monday night.
